"Official" Part Numbers
GilAn addendum. I finally called Pompanette/Bomar today and talked to them directly to sort out these part numbers. Their number is 603-826-5791.Here's the official scoop:-- The N2092-10a (the N is unimportant) is for the "trapezoidal" forward hatch. It is aluminum, not molded. It is standard with a smoked acrylic lense It is also a bit too big (i.e. it isn't a trapezoid at all, but square) so we will have to grind out about 1 inch worth of boat on the hinge side only (there are some pictures of this in the archives by another intrepid sailor). And if you really want black, they will powder coat it for you for a charge of unknown amount.-- The aft rectangular hatch part number is 2029-10a. This part number is also aluminum with a smoked lense. They do still make this one in plastic, but it wouldn't match the forward hatch, so it becomes an aesthetic choice (for instance, I am going to replace both hatches, so I would go with the aluminum version 2029, so that it looks like it matches the aluminum-only 2092). Now it gets a bit trickier here because this one comes in low profile or regular profile. The 2029-10a is the 1.5 inch profile, where the 1029-10a would be the lower profile model. They should both fit in the hole.--And while we're at it, the two types of Gray portlights on the 75-84 (Cherubini)Hunter 27 are the 512-AD28 (smaller) and the 715-AD28 (larger)if you want the white frame with the smoked lenses. These part numbers can vary as well, but only to designate the color of the frame and lense. For example, a 512-AD27 is a white frame with a clear lense. A 512-AD28 is a white frame with a smoked lense. A 512-AD17 is a black frame with a clear lense. A 512-AD18 is (you guessed it!) a black frame with a smoked lense. Whew!Hope that helps you out. Again, call/surf ThriftyMariner, SailNet, or anyone else to shop them. Pompanette sells them directly as well, but they strictly sell at list price.Take care,Ron
