I just bought a 2006 Hunter 33 and the hatch board lock is on backwards. I can't see any way to remove it. Is it possible to remove the lock and turn it around?
Hunter was using Southco MG latches on the hatch boards. If you look at http://www.southco.com/resources/documents/MG-Entry.en.pdf you should find the latch. Getting it off is a little tricky. Under the sliding latch that you would use from the inside you will find a hole that looks like it has two saw blades. You need to carefully use a very small screw driver to push each of the saw blades to one side at the same time pulling up slightly on the side of the lock. The saw blades go in opposite direction and the top is for one side and the bottom for the other. Then the latch assembly should slip off of the hatch board.

Tony, missed this previously. Are you sure the lock was on backwards or do you put the hatchboards in backwards. The acrylic boards should have the steps out, so that water will go out and not into the boat. If you start at he bottom with it backwards the top one will be backwards and lock on the wrong side.
