For those of you who have experienced a sliding hatch that sticks, squeaks or scapes the deck aft of the mast, here's a simple cheap fix.Go to you local hardware store and purchase a few nylon drawer slides. They're generally in an 'L' shape. Cut in half and attach 5 or 6 pieces to the bottom of the hatch runners spaced evenly apart. A little dab of clear silicone works great. The end result: The hatch sits up just a tad higher to prevent the scraping and moves very easy with no noise. Nice if you're anchored in a crowded area. Total cost is about $4.00 plus the cost of a tube of silicone if you don't already have some.Ed P. "See Da Moon" S/N 13106
