I am getting ready to refinish my wooden handrails and hatch slides (for both the main hatch and companionway boards). I am planning to remove the pieces from the boat, sand and finish them, then reinstall. I see that the handrails are through bolted into the cabin top but I can't tell how the slides are attached. Can anyone clue me in? Are they attached with screws and adhesive or are there nuts somewhere under the headliner. I hate to start prying out teak bungs without knowing what to expect. Thanks in advance for help and/or advice.
