Greetings, Can anyone recommend the hatch sizes or model number (bomar or lewmar) to replace my leaky ugly hatches on my nice 77 H30. Any recommendations as to what to expect for this type of repair? Or someone in New England who does this without charging a fortune? Thank You.

Hatches
If your hatches are the same ones that they put in my 83 H30, they are available at www.pompanette.com/bomar If you look in the catalog you will find cast series hatches. I believe they are the same ones used on your boat. They also have parts available for the hatches. I have heard that you can just replace the "glass" in them. The frames on mine are in good shape but the "glass" is clouded and the gaskets are in need of replacement.

Replacement
I replaced my forward hatch glass this year. Contacted Bomar with serial number and they sent me the pre cut glass, sealent, and instructions. In less tha 1 1/2 hours new forward hatch. at a fraction of the cost of the new hatch. Replacement cost about $130. new hatch about $700. Good luck. John
