hatch parts

I broke the hold open rod on one of the deck hatches on my '92 33.5 -- actually not the rod itself, but the plastic sleeve it runs through. West Marine sells the latch handles (right and left) but not the rods with attachment parts. Does anyone know a source? After all of these years the plastic is getting a bit brittle, so I expect that this one won't be the only one to break.Thanks.
