Where is the best place to store the hatch boards for a 423?

Also, has anyone recently purchased hatch board screens and if so, where?

Thanks

There is a metal channel in the port locker along with a bungee cord. Place both boards in there and connect the metal clamp of the bungee cord to the bottom of the channel. Holds it security in place.

You can store them anywhere you want, close by or down below if not needed for awhile. You can have a canvas shop make a bag to store them in.

I made screen frames for my 373 in my shop out of teak. Used the hatch boards as patterns and made exact duplicates of the two pieces. Most expensive part was the teak; one could use a cheaper wood such as cypress. They are nice to keep all the Chicago bugs out!

We use a simple collapsible frame for hatch screens on our 343. Pieces of 1/2" cpvc tubing with 1/2" copper elbows - 90s at the top, 45s at the bottom to match the radius of the opening. We sewed pockets along the edges of the screen to fit the pipes. The pipe just fits in the grooves for the hatch boards.
Screen at top is rectangular. Everything disassembles and rolls up. A rubber band or two keeps it together.
