didn't work for me
Hello,I tried the Soy Strip last November. I had a LOT of old bottom paint to remove. The Soy strip didn't work. It softened the paint, but didn't come close to removing it all. In defense of Soy Strip, when I used it the temperature was about 52 degrees or so. They state it has to be above 50 for it to work. I probably would have worked better on a warmer day, but I didn't have time to wait.I tried Interlux stripper, sanding, and scraping. The scraping worked best of all, but was slow, dirty, hard work. I gave up and hired a guy to soda blast the old paint off. That worked great and you can read about my boat here:http://www.sailnet.com/forums/gear-maintenance/42402-bottom-paint-1-me-2-all-done-test.htmlBarry
