I added one to my H260, 9.9 Mercury motor. It definitely ads thrust and make docking easier. It gets the boat moving faster in high winds. It also added 1.5 knts to my motoring speed.
How about protecting arms and legs for anyone climbing about from the rear of the boat? Our boat comes with a rear-mounted boarding ladder and it has always bothered me that the propellor blades are just inches away. I've also seen another product with a full wrap-around cowling. What do you think?
