My bowline knocked off the bow light lens again. Rather than buying a new lens everytime I tie off to a taller dock (low water/fixed dock) I was considering replacing the original lights with the new LED variety. Has anyone replaced their original lights and do you see a significant reduction in the battery consumption at night?

But I'd like to know where you can buy just the lense for the bow light. I have to buy the whole assembly. And now I see I have to buy another one. ;( The plastic tab that holds the lense on is really a crappy design.

I have lost two coming in for a hard landing. So last time I called Hunter I ordered two. Sad part is the second lense cover won't fit the main assembly of the old one... so I have to replace the whole light even though they are exact same model. They should have face guards like football helmets
