Has anyone towed and launched a Lancer 28 regularly?

I'm sure it is a common phenomenon, but I finally have my boat the way I like it so it must be time to move up. I would like it to still be trailerable. I had the opportunity to look online at Lancers thanks to Novelman who is buying a 25'. I like the size and comfort of the 28 (mainly for the wife). The longest trips are usually 4 nighters to Catalina. I do a lot of solo day sailing 3/week. I am in mast-up storage and so raising and lowering the mast is an issue but not as big an issue as it would be if I had to do it every time I went out. It seems to have a low draft but still sits higher on the trailer than a Mac. I have a 4x4 F250 that I am sure will handle the load.
My only concern is bigger boat bigger hassle. If you have owned one what should I look for.
BTW if anyone has another option they would like to recommend I am all ears. I don't plan to change up until after this season.

Be sure to look at a Lancer 28 in person, if you haven't already. It is pretty much a slightly longer 25 (which I have owned) with standing headroom due to the keel, which you actually walk in. Interior volume may disappoint in person.

Beyond that, fit, fittings and finish are good, but the hull to deck joint is weakly constructed (screws through the toe rail into a wood backing strip). Later models with smaller opening ports rather than large fixed ports will suffer from less water damage in the coach house and of course offer better ventilation. Later models also have the mast further forward without the compression post that appears in the middle of the cabin on earlier models. There is a heavy duty rigging option which will provide double lower stays, rather than single. The spar will likely be a Kenyon and have in boom double reefing. Check the rudder. Mine, although apparently constructed with closed cell foam, used to take on water and split during the winter unless I drilled a relief hole. Less of a problem in CA for sure!
