Has anyone sailed Israel's Sea of Galilee ?

My wife and I crossed the Sea of Galilee on a power boat a few years back. It was a life changing experience.It's my goal to sail that Sea.The Mediterranean Sea was really blue from our airplane window. On the beach I was amazed how clean the water appeared. You could see the bottom out 100' from the shore. A friend of mine in the Navy "sailed" the Mediterranean on several tours. The blue sea of the Med. has got to be a great place to sail. Anyone been there, done that ?

Twice.

Nine months both times. Once on the USS Forrestal and again on the Saratoga. Have really fond memories of ports in Spain, France, Italy including Sicily, and Greece. And the islands of Cyprus and Mallorca(sp?). But I also remember really rough weather. One foursome went there to charter and could not leave the marina. Time of year and weather are major factors.
