I have noticed newer boats have fuel and water gauges and was looking into adding one. I can't find anything on you tube. I see that they make lots of after market gauges however I don't know of anyone who has installed them.
It looks like a fairly easy dyi project.

I have not Capt, but all they are is a voltage loop / series circuit. The big issue you will have to discover is whether you have an opening in your tank top to mount the sensor, usually a 6 screw configuration approximately 3" diameter to match the sensor flange.

Thanks, still looking at my options. Still a little hesitant to do this myself, however don't want to pay the boat yards extortion price.

Completely understand, from what I have seen each sensor will have (3) wires, +, - and a signal wire, depending on how many tanks you want to monitor. Water tank #1, Water Tank #2, Waste tank, Fuel tank is usually on the motor control board in the cockpit.

If you go here

you will get an idea of what is needed, appears all wiring is 16 ga marine type wiring.

Thanks,
Garnet gauge looks to me the best way to go. No drilling looks to me to be the easiest install. Looks like I can get multiple sensors to plug into one display. Going to talk to one of there reps today.

Thanks again for the link.

All the sensors in 1 wire. Each sensor has a unique "address" so they can send their own code to the display. For really tall tank you can stack 2 sensors together.
