Was worrying about Karen this morning when I saw the big storm heading that way.. She has a good "sea head" and is probably OK, but still concerns me, knowing what a storm like that can do.
We here in south Louisiana will see some wind and a bit of rain from it.. but it should be pretty much spent by the time it crosses Mexico and Texas.

That is a nasty storm. I hope all of the cruisers fair well.
It really doesn't matter how good your ground tackle and chafe gear is. Some of it is all about luck because if someone else didn't do what they should to keep their boat in the right place and they are upwind of you then there is nothing you can do but hope they miss you when they break free. Scary situation.
One nice highlight is how concerned everyone is for the people in the area and how everyone is reaching out. If the world had more sailors the world would be a much better place!

When ever I'm feeling really down I'll watch the last 30 minutes of that movie. Easily the best half hour of cinema ever.
