As I understand it...

...when he began teaching internationally he was advised by people in the know to cut back his web profile a bit for reasons of personal security. The logic here, apparently, is that someone who goes abroad for months at a time shouldn't be posting his home port on the internet, especially if the boat is being left behind. So, as I understand it, we won't be seeing his name on this site even though he's still haunting the forums. Nor will we see any indication of his actual whereaboats should he be spending his summers in... So yeah, the old bird still frequents this site, and it shouldn't be too difficult for a savvy user to spot his feathers. He still sails the same boat, even if it has seemed to disappear into the bay area fog. He just doesn't get to sail it as much anymore.

Well, the Newport Farnsworth's will be shocked

to hear that one of their own has had to go off the grid and incognito! Your plumage was quite recognizable though, if I understand correctly. Hope you get to go sailing wherever you are...
