Hard to believe the season is over for me and my boat is now up on the hard until mid-April. Spent yesterday covering the boat in 72' weather on at the Tolchester marina on the Chesapeake Bay.

For those of us that have a perforated toe rail, the following use of Greenhouse film and a channel lock and wiggle wire makes for an inexpensive cover that you can use year after year.

Additional details at owner mods on this site for the older Hunter 30's.

Channel lock? Wiggle wire? Please explain. BTW, nice job! Far better concept in my mind than shrink wrap landfill.

Channel lock is an aluminum product that is four foot long and wiggle wire is stainless steel and about six foot long to hold greenhouse film down over greenhouses. This has been used in the commercial greenhouse market for years and is available from commercial greenhouse supply companies such as BFG, BWI, and Griffin Greenhouse Supplies, to name a few. Go to Hunter owner modifications 30' 74-89 for the full story.
