Hard Start

I have a 99' Catalina 320 with the Yanmar 3GM30F. Normally starts easy unless the boat sits for eight days or longer. On days one through seven, the Yanmar starts on the first touch of the starter, every time. On day eight, nine etc there is a hard start. Its like there is air in the line but the motor finally smooths out and I think pushes the air (or whatever) out. Anyone else experience this or know what it is?Thanks

You're Right

Paul,It sounds like air in the fuel line. Check for any loose connections (especially from the fuel intake side between the tank & the fuel pump), fix, bleed the fuel system & you should be all set.
