Transducer mounting.
I mounted a "shoot through" transducer last year and is here is how I did it.First, to test to see if the transducer will function in the location you have selected. Goop vaseline on the bottom of the puck and slowly press and twist until it starts to read. Now that you know the transducer will work in this section of the hull, clean it very well with acetone. It can be permanently mounted using epoxy, or not so permanetly using a thick glob of silicone.The trick to getting a good reading is no air bubbles between the puck and the hull, so twist as you apply pressure.Hope this helps.
