Hard Bimini?

Sorry didn't get down to the boat today, had to wait for the cable guy. I'll be down there tomorrow and will set it up and take some pictures. I got the idea from others who use them in Catalina.

I didn't have a measuring tape on board but I stood under the boom and had about 4" of clearance. I'm 5-8.5 so the is about 6-0 clearance. I you are 6-3 you might want to duck. I noticed that inside the cabin there was only about 3-4"s of clearance so I assume you need to slouch in yours. The forward part of the cabin is only about 1-2"s

Duck? No, based on what you share a hard top is impractical. :D. You saved me a couple-grand and about two weeks time!

I do like the boom tent idea. It obviously deploys quickly, a key feature for the sailing we do. I will keep that in mind for after we splash the boat, probably next year at this point.

Precipitation is a pipe dream here; my new dock is going to be sitting on the ground a whole longer.....
