Question. I sailed the H 23 today. When I was moored, I looked under the cushions and floor boards. Minimal water under the floor boards, but I did find four (4) water bladders filled with clean water under the cushions, inside the wood frame, around the stringers. Everything looks good down there. Should I keep these water bladders down there to keep me balanced. We have a strong NE coming in, great three hours learning how to sail.... Happy Veterans Day! Spinfisher

not needed

the bladders are not part of the boat's design and are not necessary to balance or stability. I suppose that they may, if sufficiently heavy, lower the center of gravity, but I doubt it is enough to have any significant effect. Keep them if you're thirsty. Otherwise its just extra weight. Some minor difference

Sailed solo again, no difference. It is very windy with the NE, temp is 69..... I'll save the bladders for next hurricane... Have a great weekend!
