Mates.
So I got a couple of used Lewmar 16's, 2 speed winches to use a secondaries. The P.O. must have thought he was greasing high speed axle bearings. Anyhow they're clean now. Except, for the internal shaft. I looked on the Lewmar site and it shows a nylon retainer holding the internal shaft. Lewmar says I should be able to remove the retainer. If I try any harder I'll distort the nylon. I tried a small (think eyeglass) bladed screwdriver, the tip of a knife and a sharp pointed awl. Any body know the trick?
Peace
