Hi All, Please accept my best wishes for 4th July and my thanks for the wealth of knowledge you have shared with me via this forum. Have a fantastic day!
Thanks, Mike. I'm heading out at noon today (Friday) for two days on the hook in the Annapolis Harbor to watch the fireworks and the masses of boats go by. Three friends are going, and another boat will raft up. It's PARTY TIME!
THANKS, Mike !!!
Not sailing this weekend, taking care of elderly mom, and will be contemplating the size of the central Louisiana mosquitoes!! I am thinking that two or three could be harnessed and used for pulling a sailboat!!
Yall have a great weekend too down there!
Thanks Mike, lots of fun in the sun around here today. We are talking about poking the boat out on the water for the fireworks but staying close. There are so many boats out today and after the fireworks they all come flying in to the marinas and houses on our river, you can sit and watch a steady stream of them for a long time... it gets crazy... so the thought is if there isn't too much traffic right in front, we'll pop out to watch the show and have a better viewing angle than we would from my parents house on the point and then b-line back in after they end... I think if we do it I'll have the spot light handy in case so drunk motorboatist isn't paying attention. For some reason, even with increased fuel costs and a bad economy there seems to be an increase around here of the cigarette boats and go-fasts around here... we were waked by one yesterday that figured he HAD to go in front of us. It was kinda funny, two couples, one was in the rear seats making out... how cheesy
