Hanging storage in the 235

I have seen where a 240 owner mounted a towel/ paper towel holder to the ceiling of his boat providing a place to hang things. I think I would like to do that behind the sink. I want to hang my life jacket collection. (I have several and need to retrieve children's from the pile.) How can I connect with the inner liner in place? Is it strong enough to hold the weight? If I could get to the hull I could epoxy on for the strength I need. Any of you 235 owners want to show off what you have done. I would love to see what others have done to improve/personalize their 235's.

Screw into liner

Hi Russell, I just installed a hanging DVD player/Screen from the top by the circuit breaker panel. I was worried about the screws holding the weight. Therefore, I pushed small hardwood blocks between the liner & top (throught the access to the top winches). Then just screw into the liner and Block. For the wall by the sink you could do the same for extra holding power.. How long have you had your 23.5? Jim Wharton jim.wharton@fnc.fujitsu.com 214-477-3611

Good Idea Jim

Hi Jim I bought it in February this year. I was thinking of just using marine adhesive to hold a paper towel rack to the head liner. I like you idea of a backing block. It might be hard to get it into place if the location is far from access port. I will investigate if this can be done. Maybe this summer I can trailer up to Lake Lavon. It would be nice to see another 235 and compare modifications. Russell

Sounds good..

Hi Russell, That's sounds cool. I have the boat at home now, and have been compounding and waxing it all weekend.. man my upper body is tired... I have a question about the stern rail/seats you put on. How hard was it to put the metal backing plates under the deck for the rails. I have the "non seat" rails on my boat, but the rails seem loose.. Jim 214-477-3611 jim.wharton@fnc.fujitsu.com
