Hanging pictures, plants (the climbing part), clocks, and such.
In my Mac26S what is the best way (without drilling glasswork or using adhesive strips) to hang light stuff? In the past, I've used adhesive strips and they're the right strength but do not hold up to the humidity.

Does anybody use self-threading wall/ceiling "hook" screws or similar stuff?

Thanks,
Eddy

"Believe it or don't" silicone sealant is the one material which will stick to absolutely everything except air, water, and oil. I've found it to be invaluable when looking for wire and hose supports for hanging on rough FG in hidden locations within the walls of my sailboat. A 2' X 2" piece of plywood will support an easy 50 lbs. so plant hangers will require a pretty small piece. The beauty here is it's thick and requires no clamps until it sets and does not succumb to moisture unless submerged.

Experiment in a hidden location to get an idea of what it's capable of. It will not come off the FG when set.

BTW: DO NOT consider this for anything structural. Only for very light applications out of the elements.

Thanks;

Not sure if I used 3M hooks before but the damage-free hooks I used all came down even the plant limbs in the picture came down.
But it’s worthwhile for me to try again. Also got some tiny cup hooks and some shoe goo to add to the 3m tape hooks (shoe goo fixed the rock holes in my first boat, see pic, after 20 years I pulled the goo patch off with a pair of pliers)

Thanks,
Eddy
