Hunter 270 Ottawa
Matt at the Ottawa Chandlery suggested I use Llifting Eyenuts to hang the blocks for the Lazy Jacks/StackPack on my 2002 Hunter 270, from the Spreader Sockets. I took out the existing bolt & nut as it was flush, bought a longer bolt, put a nylock nut on flush with the socket, then spun on the Lifting Eyenut, followed by another nylock nut to ensure that the lifting eyenut did not twist off. I put the blocks right on the lifting eyenut.

Did not have to make a bracket, & have no rough edges for the sail to catch on. Did not have to drill new holes in the sockets, spreaders or mast. Usually the blocks for Lazy Jacks/StackPacks hang from cheek blocks on the mast or padeyes on the spreaders.

Lifting Eyenuts cost about $3 http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=0501516
