Halyard Size H27

Good morning all...
I have a quick question. Does anyone know the diameter of the main halyard and sheet. The lines on my H27 all seem to have been replaced with 1/2" lines. They do seem to fit all the cleats poorly. I have seen specs. stating 5/16 and also 3/8 dia. We don't race at all just weekend cruisers. I don't want to undersize the rigging, but sure would like to make it easier to handle.

3/8"s should be adequate. The size should be dictated by cockpit clutches if so equiped. A 5/16" line would reduce friction but may slip in the clutches. The other factor could be price. Get quality lines with a low strech factor.
