I looked for common materials for my H26 sheave separators. You know the cheap white resin plastic patio chairs they sell at "dollar stores" (e.g., Dollar General)? I was too cheap to buy one of those chairs for $8. So I bought the small table for $5. From that, I cut the flat top surface off into several triangles that are somewhat rounded at the points to form triangular- type ovals, similar to giant guitar picks . I cut about 5 of these from one table top. That was 5 years ago, and the first one is still holding up. BrianW

In my H26, I was able to partially guide the sheave pin through an access plate in my cabin above the table, near an overhead lamp. I too had to dig out 5200 from my pin that oozed out. Next time, I'm putting a single layer of masking tape on the pin under the sheaves, and also use the 5200 more sparingly. I think 5200 is right for this application, but a longer pin ending with a cotter pin would have been a better design.

The one I ordered from SBO arrived today.... I'm slightly disappointing. It is just a square piece of plastic, not much larger than a credit card. It is not even pre-drilled. I can easily mark it ... go to the shop and drill out the hole... but for $30 why am I doing all of that. The most time sensitive part is getting all of the tools out... once I've done that, I might as well make my own.

I've ordered several things from SBO and so far this is the only time I've not been super happy with the service.... so I guess I'm okay with it in the grand scheme of things.... but...

Suggest you trace the part, scan it and post on this forum! BrianW

This gives you everything you need.
Scotty 147 already posted a schematic. I'll have no trouble getting it to work. I'll just have to do a bit of work... which is what I thought my $30 was buying.

Thanks for that.... very thoughtful. I was in a bit of a funk that day. I waited for a month for the piece and it got back ordered with some sail slugs... so I waited a month for those too.... All-in-all it will only take me 15 min to get out my drill and a hole cutter bit... I was "underwhelmed" to say the least.

Maybe I should take the excess polyethylene I now have, cut it round, drill a hole and sell each for $35 :)
