Halyard length and diameter

Does anyone know what the length's and diameters for the halyards on my boat are suppose to be? 87 Hunter 26.5Thanks

2.5 x the height of the mast.

As for length, 2.5 X the length of the mast base to the exit sheeve on the mast. The diameter is of no importance. SWL is the important stat. Some lines have very poor working load while others are very strong even with small diameters. Choose a line that is small enough to handle AND strong enough to handle the load. Spectra lines, in particular, are much stronger than larger double braid poly.
