Somebody knows.
How to remove the pin that holds the halyards deck sheaves and line separator. I see no access from either end. What’s the process?

Got a photo?

I would suggest you have to drill out a rivet, but hard to know without seeing a photo.

I'd have to go look to be 100% certain but I believe they are pushed in then held there with a dab of sealant or adhesive of some sort.

If you are replacing the sheeve go ahead and rip it out and pry out the goop holding the pin in place, then use some needle nose pliers with some rubber around the pin to protect it to wiggle it out. If it is stubborn some needle nose ViceGrips using the same method and tap on them with a hammer.

Thanks for the photos…. I was thinking it was a bolted on deck organizer…so this is helpful.

Nothing in the open hole on the end (no bolt or screw head in there?

Nothing at all. Has to be an expansion ring. I’m going to try and force the pin out like Rick Webb had suggested and I’ll be sure to post process and results in this post.

Just went out and looked at mine.

If I squeeze the sheeves together so I get a bite on the axle I am able the slide it out to the edge where I can get a hold of it. It comes out too easy actually something I am going to have to address. The goop at the end has fallen away and is nonexistent.
