I'm going to purchase new halyards for my 23. I'm changing from rope/wire to all rope halyards. I know that some manufacturers have color codes for different halyards. Is there an Oday standard? ie; mainsail/ blue, headsail/ green.
Running rigging gets changed on boats so often, that I doubt there ever was a "standard" Oday scheme. You can always check with Rudy at D and R marine; his website is listed in the links section of this site.
especially if you have different crew people and have to say pick up the Blue tracer ... instead of the main halyard or the Red tracer instead of the jib halyard ... I like to use blue on the main and red on the jibs with a stronger weight of color on the sheets than the halyards. That leaves green for the spinnaker. In the old Oday days if I remember right ... you probably saw most blue tracer nearly everywhere. Vic
