Hi everyone, we are now in our 4th year living aboard and full time cruising. we have survived thus far without a washing machine but now find it a necessity as it's getting harder and harder to find laundry facilities here in the Med and when we do it's always quite a walk and about €20 per 10kg load.
Anyway I've found an automatic front loader here in Croatia that not only fits into the starb cabin cupboard but at 38cm deep it also fits through the doorway without pulling apart door furniture. The machine is the Candy Aquamatic 5kg(Haier product I think), I'm not worried about the dryer.
my question is where did Hunter tap into the water supply and also the water outlet. The machine is a 220v so I'm going to use the aircon supply.
thank you in advance for any info.
I've searched this site and the files for the factory photo pdf won't open for me.
kind regards
Craig Baker

Few things
The original washer / dryer was a 120v setup.
I suppose you could tap into the 220v rear aircon, but have other concerns.
The factory unit was a splendide washer / dryer. While the dryer does take some time to fully dry loads, a can’t imagine how a washer - only will work well.
As far as the water hookup , it went back to the manifold in the galley.
Other concerns
Hunter installed a very beefy stainless bracket to keep the unit in place.
I know of a boat that retrofit the WD, and when they were on a port tack heel, it went flying out of the cabinet.
This isn’t a trivial install, as you also need to install the drain properly as well.

thanks Art, I was waiting your reply. yes I will make sure to fasten in place, should be easy as machine is a close fit.
with the drain I will use an anti siphon bend up high. could you tell me where Hunter took the drain hose, did they install a new through hull or tap in to an existing as in galley/ vanity?
thanks again for your help.

I’m going to open a fresh post which has a good idea for anyone with washer dryers

Re: the drain,,
It goes to the stern above line.
It is basically just below the ladder, and to the left of it. (Facing forward)

perfect, thanks Art, I'll read your post as well. the washer/spin is all we really need as we're pretty well in hot climates most of the year. right now we're hand washing and it drys completely in 15 minutes. Were in Croatia.
thanks again, I have all the info I need to complete the install.
