I know it's a long shot, but as the saying goes, nothing ventured nothing gained.
What are the chances that one of you happens to - have the hunter factory davits installed on your boat, be on your boat (or close enough to it to take a measurement), AND have possibly drilled a hole in those davits (to possibly run solar wiring or hardware), so that you might be able to measure the wall thickness of the davits. I am in the process of having custom davits fabricated (to be as close to original as possible) and while I can (and have) pulled every other possibly dimension from a neighbors boat, I DON'T have the wall thickness. Now, I know it's 2" OD and was going to err on the side of over-engineering this and go with .25" wall thickness. But my fabricator thinks that it might be a bit much and I could save weight (and cost) by stepping down to a .1875" wall thickness.
So, if you have the davits AND have a hole drilled in it, would ask that you stick a piece of wire/hanger/skewer straight in that hole until it bottoms out.
If it goes in 1 3/4", we have .25" wall thickness, if it goes in 1 13/16" then we have .1875" wall thickness, and I can get my steel order placed and we can start building.
Thank you!
