We are in the process or redoing the interior of our 2005 H44. Primarily new fabric for the cushions backrests throughout. We want to replace the OEM fabric on the head board in the master but have not yet figured out how to remove the frame. We have centerline berth arrangement. I'm thinking I may have to get into the two aft lockers to see if there are some bolts etc holding the frame to the partition.

Has anyone else had to remove the headboard frame? How did you get it done?

Thanks
Marc

If is similar to our's (2005 Hunter 45 CC), you have remove the fabric portion of the headboard, as it is only attached to the frame with Velcro strips. Once this is removed the frame is attached using wood screws that are hidden behind the fabric portion. At least this is how Hunter did it on the 45 CC. Let me know if this is of any help to you.

Thanks, I'll give it another try. I don't see any screws so they must be behind the fabric as you describe. Just didn't know how hard to pull on the fabric.

Yes, just pry the fabric off, as it is mounted on a piece of plywood, and held to the frame with velcro. Once off you should wee the wood screws that hold the frame on to the aft bulkhead.
Let me know it it works for you.

Hi Jeff

Ours was screwed in from the back with two wood screws. Was not a problem getting the board out once we found the screws and climbed down into the aft locker. Needed to clean out the locker in any event. Left the frame as is because we are only replacing the fabric on the board.
