H38: Blower Quit, Where is it? Tips?

Currently hauled in Ft. Pierce. Blower quit on the drive down from Hilton Head.

Where is the blower motor/fan? Is there a relay in the circuit? Any tips/tricks for troubleshooting or repair?

Are you referring to the engine compartment / bilge exhaust blower? If so on our 38 it’s located in the stern walk through under the helmsman seat. Starboard side. Manual bilge pump is on the port side.
The fan and exhaust port are all part of an integrated unit.

Can’t answer your question about a relay but I don’t think there is.
A couple of simple things I’d try. First make sure the terminals in the DC panel near the nav table are tight. Occasionally I’ve seen them vibrate loose. Second, check in the panel under the nav seat. There are a few circuit breaker / fuse buttons. I can’t recall if there is one for the bilge blower but I know I’ve seen one for the built in oil change system and a few other things.
If none of that works I guess pull the screws for the fan under the helm seat in the cockpit and slide the unit out. Check for loose connections and perhaps put a volt meter on it to confirm it’s getting power. If it is then it’s likely the fan motor has died.

The engine blower (suction would be better) on my H38 is in the middle under the big berth in the owners cabin. If you have the 2 aft cabins it is most probably in the SB cabin. There is a relay in the circuit because if the auto extinguisher in the engine room activates it cuts the blowers circuit 12V.
Under the berth for an engine blower is a ridiculous location but is an easy install and Hunter could list “engine blower” as a plus for selling the boat.
Installation the suction point for the blower in the top of the engine compartment is the best place to remove the engine heat. This improvement is on my “nice to have” list for the last couple of years, there is always something more urgent/important
