Gotta love this. My shower sump stopped working. Disassembly showed that the pump itself was shot, an Attwood V750. I drive down to WM assuming I could buy a replacement. Nope. A quick search on my phone showed V750's online. SO I got home and tried to order a new V750 so I could just plug in the new pump w/o any modifications. Yep... "this pump is no longer in stock". So instead of replacing a $40 pump, I get to buy a whole new shower sump box unit for $90 + shipping. UGH!

Don't do this

Here's good news & bad news.
The sump pump boxes are cheap & unreliable.
This will cost you more, but you'll never regret it.
Buy the new Whale IC grey water pump.
There is no sump box, no cleaning out crud, etc.
It is a pump on demand system which senses water at the pump inlet.
I highly reccommend switching over

Re: Don't do this

In my Hunter 45 CC, both the aft shower, and sink drain to the existing aatttwood shower sump box. Do you know if the new Whale IC Grey Water pump can be adapted so as to pump both the shower, and the sink?

Thanks,
Jeff

It's super easy. (By the way, I don't make money off this)
I just like it, because it makes sense.
The unit comes with a T fitting. You can pipe 2 drains into the T, and the 3rd port goes to the pump inlet. That simple.
Look at the online video on whale's site.
It's a simple pump on demand device.
No sump box, filter, or anything.
