Starboard cockpit hatch, along with the emergency tiller, spare dock lines, and manual bilge handle.

With batteries on the starboard side too, I'm worried it will list too much. That does seem like the logical spot. The port cockpit locker doesn't seem like it will support the weight.

Just a small danforth

But our stern anchor fits in the stbd side swim platform locker with its rode in a big flat plastic container

Where do you guys keep you stern/spare anchor?
Ours in starboard (aft) lazarette. I found a small shallow plastic tray to hold the anchor and rode. I then pushed it under the swim platform. It is snug and secure there yet easily retrieved.

WADR, if that's your concern, you need more crew sometimes. :) They weigh even more...

A 34 foot boat either has an inherent list to one side or not, but one anchor shouldn't make much difference.

I always suggest that the BEST way to offset a list is to add batteries. Best bang for the buck: heavy and USEFUL. :):):)

Our stern anchor/rode is pretty light on tackle so I don't think it really matters where I put it. YMMV

Spare anchor...

A Danforth in the anchor locker below the plow's line. Was hung on the bow pulpit with stainless strap hangers.
