H34 plug to panel

No slack in the cable between the 30 amp connector! and, the panel.

the other question is;

Did Hunter use #10 wire?
best I can guess it's number 12 (but it shouldn't be)

I'll probably change the wire from the panel to the connecting Inlet with number 10/3 Marine cable and a new plate connector to connect to the new connector on the end of my old cable because. of no slack I can't even get in there to disconnect and reconnect the wires to the inlet

I would disconnect the ac cable from the ac circuit breaker panel. Then remove the four screws that hold the Marinco 30amp inlet fixture and pull the fixture and wiring out of the boat. Then you can install the longer 10g wiring.
BTW, my H27 has 10 gauge ac wiring from the inlet fixture.

Thank you everyone! I couldn't quite make it out the size, because it's so well hidden, there isn't enough slack to cut the old inlet off and reattach which is why I'll probably run new wire.

While you are in the middle of this project, it would be a good idea to install a galvanic isolator, if not in the system.

You could also add a new breaker close to the inlet and use that to connect the old wire to the new (assuming the old is properly sized). ABYC technically requires a breaker within 10 feet of the inlet (along the wire), and your boat probably didn’t come with one preinstalled there, so it could be a two-birds/one-stone opportunity.

Please listen to me…..
Go with a Smartplug power inlet, and change the mating plug on your cord.
This will be a huge stress remover. Guaranteed !!
