Is there a standard disconnect point for the 1986 H34 wiring when removing the mast? Or will I need to cut them and splice then back together?

On mine there were connectors in the mast that revealed themselves as the mast was being lifted. This was before I repaired the compression post structure. After the repair and complete mast rewiring I bundled all the wires into a long tail. I put a terminal strip by the holding tank and connected them there for the next time (which never came).

Thanks Allan. I'm reading your compression post repair document. That's what I'm working on. Can you please email me the drawings? They're showing up a bit fussy.
Thanks.

Am I seeing this correctly that you did not replace the fir compression post with an aluminum post? You just replaced the overhead beam?

Hi John,

I found clearer versions of my drawings. I'll send them via a private message.

That is correct. Luckily my post did not have any rot on it. I just had to trim about 1/2" off the top to fit in the opening again.

my replacement of the scarfed compression post with the aluminum post was a definite upgrade...
