Ditto that ! I use 3/8 on my Pro-furl NC32. I have removed the core as charliegrau has done and it works great while being easier on the hands. A bonus is it is big enough that I can use the self-tailing winch if needed.If you want to go to a larger diameter line for easier handling, you can use double brad and remove the core from the part that wraps around the furler in order to save space on the furling drum. That's my set up and it works great.
