On my 34 I would hang it from the headstay to the spinnaker pole attachment on the mast. Happy Thanksgiving

Thank You (as always) Claude and a very belated (6 weeks???) Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Is Turkey a tradition up north too?

Turkey and ham, but I am real thankful since I get to live 2 Thanksgiving: the one in Canada on the second Monday of October, and the one here in Florida where I've been for a whole month. Being a snowbird, I feel I get the best of both worlds as I get to sail year round.

I have a hammock chair. I hoist it up using the Spinnaker Halyard and have a short section of rope that clips around the forestay to keep the hammock chair in the middle of the triangle.

How many H34's do you have?
Hi Dan,
Glad to say I'm happy with only one 34 :)! Have sailed her for 14 seasons to the Great Lakes and up to Labrador and the Canadian East Coast + a whole winter singlehandling from Montreal to Florida and then on to the Bahamas including the Exumas, Eleuthera, the Abacos and back up to Canada :D ! Being a "convicted" snowbird, (does sound more punchy than convinced ;)), I do most of my winter sailing on a friend's 37 while here in Florida. Indian River sailing and beer can races in the Melbourne area, we also do offshore races from St. Augustine, New Smyrna, Cape Canaveral, and the Fort-Lauderdale-Key West race. BTW, I met this friend almost 10 years ago here on the site and we have sailed on his & mine both here in FL and in Canada.

You can get "slap straps" for your hammock on the ENO website. These straps have loops sewn in so you can put one strap around the mast and one strap around the headstay. I use these all the time for my hammock.

Google slap straps and ENO hammock.
