Need to replace the boot stripe and the deck cabin stripes on a '87 H34. Advice on where to get it and what colors code to order?

Removed them and did not replace!

Nick: I removed my cabin stripes and did not replace them. I personally think that it looks better. As for the boot stripe, I personally would only use paint on this.

Different on the Early h34's

The blue stripes are gelcoat and you can't remove them. The upper stripe under the toe rail has a white tape strip over the blue that can be removed. Use a heat gun and a plastic scraper. I found there is a lot of gelcoat thickness on my '83 hull #56 and was able to wet sand and polish it back to life. In later years they made changes to cut cost and the stripes changed. Barry

Joe M, Removal procedure!

Joe: I removed my stripes on the cabin. I am still contemplating the cove stripes. I tried the hair drier and it DID NOT work. Mine were baked on and there was not much hope without using chemicals to soften them up too. I used an "Eraser" on a drill. Take a look at this post in the photo forum and see. http://www.sailboatowners.com/upload/display.tpl?folder=Dion73043149949
