From reading prior threads it sounds like the fuel gage on Hunters are rarely work. Being a determined individual I want to attempt to get mine to work. I don't know if the problem is the gage or the sender. Neither the fuel gage at the nav station or in the cockpit work which suggest to me that perhaps it is the sender. Anyone have any idea how to attempt a fix? Does one have to pull the fuel tank to attempt a repair on the sender?

Here is a T/S proceedure....

My fuel gauge in my h40.5 is also non-working. See the attached link for T/S proceedures. It does not matter if the brand of fuel gauge is not a Teleflex. All electrical gauges I have seen are very similiar. The proceedure will allow you to verify operation of the gauge. I suspect that the most likely fault will be a bad connection or a broken wire. In the event that it is the sender, you need to access the mounting location on the tank. It is held with several screws- not a difficult job to swap out, but sometimes the location is nearly impossible to get to. Rich
