H31 versus H33 advice

Looking at newer H31 2006+ and H33 2004+ models with in-mast furling and shoal keel.

Has anyone actually sailed both boats and how to they compare. I've been told the H31 is "tender", I currently sail a H26 and my vision of "tender" can be different from others. I think the H26 is quite stiff compared to my previous H23.5. We sail in New England, Block Island Sound, Long Island Sound etc.

As far as room the 31 is adequate the 33 is better, we would like to go on longer cruises than we currently attempt. Equipment and setup on both boats is is similar.

Need some clarification. Which model 31 and 33 are you asking about?
H31 has an early version 1983 - 1987 with masthead B&R rig and a newer fractional rig.
The 33 also came in several versions, 336 from 1994 - 1997 and 33 2004 -

Oops! I mean 2004+ H33, 2006+ H31 both models with in-mast furling and shoal keel.

Have sailed both,and bought the H33...the 31 is quite(too much for the admiral) tender..the 33 less so but a lot more than my previous '94H30....but the liveable space difference is hugh...

From Tom We had a 27 Hunter for 9 years and moved on up to 33 ft it is awesome and I think preferred over the 31.
