H31 Pedestal shifter casing broken

I have a l985 H31 with the Yachting Specialties Pedestal. Having read the Archives, I see that several other people have had this problem and seemingly difficulty finding an easy solution. The Plastic form or casting that the two levers are in, has broken off around the handle within the pedestal, for the transmission shifter. I realize the company is long gone and Edson does not have a direct replacement. Has anyone come up with a solution for this problem? Appreciate your thoughts and ideas.

Merriman Control Cylinder

Just replaced it last fall, after nearly taking out the dock. The company is in Washington State and it is a beautifully machined product. The worst part was that UPS showed up at my door and needed $80.00 more, in cash, for brokerage fees, in addition to regular shipping. I believe the owner's name is "Joe Constance", and his front office staff were great to deal with. I found the details in the archives.
