H30 Cabin top hardware question

I have an 81' H30, and I am planning on upgrading the traveler and mainsheet systems. My question is how are the deck organizers, and cleats/clutches attached to the cabin top? I see one place where there are bolts coming into the cabin (Mainsheet cabin top spring pully), but I do not see any other bolts for all the other pieces of hardware. Is there a liner I must get behind, or is the cabin top thick enough that they just used screws to attach everything?

For those loads, I would want to through bolt

For the loads you are talking about, I would think you should through-bolt and make sure you have a solid surface to put the loads on. That can be a problem on the that era Hunter, as the space between the inner liner and the deck is not solid everywhere, so large washers may have to be used on the inside - definitely wouldn't just "screw it to the deck", it probably wouldnt' last very long that way. Look in the Photo forum archives for some examples - one that comes to mind is Sam Lust - he did it on a 33, which is built the same way as your boat.

On my H37C the cabin winch and cleat are thru-bolted but the deck organizer and mainsheet block were just screwed into the coring. I say "were" because I moved the mainsheet into the cockpit.When I run the lines back from the mast through two new deck organizers I will probably screw them into the coring like the original single. The loads on those are side loads and the original was still tight after twenty years. I will drill oversize holes and fill with epoxy and then redrill. The blocks to turn the lines at the bottom of the mast will be bolted through the partner plates.

Thanks for your replies guys! So, most of the hardware is just screwed into the coring? I assume there is a set procedure for filling in an left over holes, yes?
