H280 Salon Sleeping Bed/Table

It seems Hunter designed this salon table to fit (with the post removed) and rest on installed runners between the benches to make one large sleeping area. We also have the cushions that perfectly match the table outline. Does anyone have this setup? I image the table support post (bolted to the floor) must be removed and thus you lose use of the table. Looking for ideas how to go back and forth between using the table as a bed and vice-versa. Thanks!

Very doable & worthwhile. The H260 is similar.

I modified and we now have a split, king size berth in the table area. Involved pulling the compression post, removing the factory table support, reinforcing the table, redrilling the compression post and making cushions.

Now have three table positions: up on the ceiling, standard position and down for sleeping. Our table is heavy so moving it for set up is a chore - often leave it down for cruising and eat in the cockpit. Up (w/new cupholders):

Down for sleeping (w/o standard & custom sleep cushions).

Only issue is that I did not factor the built-up compression post sole position relative to drilling the third cupholder. (It's easily removed for sleeping).

PM if I can answer any questions.

Very nice and thanks! If I’m following correctly, you demasted and removed the compression post to be able to pass it through the opening in the table? Also appears the table height is held in place by a collar and set screw or is it a drilled-through removable rod?
