I have some slight play in the rudder, and a noticeable "squeak" when secured at the dock and the wheel lock engaged. Otherwise, rudder operates OK at sea. Would like some info/how-to on checking for adjustment/tightening of rudder control mechanism. Thanks in advance...

Rick I just did my 1985 28.5 Center the rudder and lock the wheel Then climb down and check and see if ther is play in the rudder. If there is pull the cooler in the starbord rear and you can see the cabels takes a 9/16 wrench and adjust the slop. Good luck Craig
