H27 Repowering

I guys, i'm considering installing a Yanmar 2GMF20 18 HP in my H27 to replace the old Renault couach Rc8D, that is under-power for that boat.I took a look of all mesurements and it seem to fit ok in the space of the old engine. Does any one already make that change of engine, and is there space left on the side of the engine to service it. Does the 13-RH-9 prop will be ok for a bigger HP engine.Thank'sMarc Villemaire

Marc,This is a big change in power. I believe you could certainly increase the pitch and perhaps go to a 3-blade prop which will also run without as much vibration. Someone else may have a better handle on the tech stuff, or consult Yanmar for a recommended prop.
