removehtml]I am in the process of rehabbing a 1981 H27. The original Yanmar was replaced with a Yanmar 2GM20F. The P.O. ran a new exhaust hose in a big loop up inside of the sail locker and around and down to a fiberglass pipe that is glassed thru the hull just above the waterline. After inspecting this arrangement, I noticed alot of soot build-up around this pipe and the adjoining area. On the exterior of the boat, where this pipe exits, there is a small crack that appears to be between the inner layer of the hull skin and the hull liner. I was woundering if anyone had a similar situation or this was a custom modification (not for the better) by the P.O.? Is it customary for the exhaust to exit next to the cockpit thruhull so close to the waterline on H27? It seems that this is not a recommended routing of exhaust outlets.Error: Error: expected [/URL], but found [/removehtml] instead[/removehtml]
