Has anyone found a way to reinforce/replace the removable cockpit floor panel in the H27? (photo below) It doesn't feel particularly stable where the four openings are so we avoid standing directly on it which is not always practical.

Mine has exactly the same feel. Not sure if it is compromised, or if it was just a weak design.

I've taken mine off to get something out from under it and to look at the steering cable and it was a very easy job, just removing the screws that hold it in place.

I would imagine that it wouldn't be hard to fabricate a more sturdy replacement panel out of any material that you would choose.

Fabricating a sturdy replacement I think I can handle…fabricating a sturdy replacement that doesn't look like it was designed by a first grader? I'm not so confident about that! :)

I think that it should be fairly easy to reinforce the factory panel from the bottom side so that it doesn't show. There is plenty of clear area under the panel for the reinforcement.

take the floor panel out and turn it upside down and grind the fiberglass for glassing in two 2 inch deep ribs long ways between the middle holes and the outer holes then cut your ribs to fit ...glass them in ...paint and reinstall

This is along the lines of what we were thinking. Thanks!
